Privacy Policy for Australian Citizenship

App Store name: AU Citizen Test & Prep 2026
Last updated: 20 September 2026

Australian Citizenship is an independent study app that helps users prepare for the Australian citizenship test. This policy explains what information the app stores, what information is processed to provide its features, and how external services are used.

1. Accounts and personal information

You do not need to create an account or sign in to use the app. Apple may require its own authentication for purchases or restoring purchases.

The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, home address, contacts, photos or precise location. We do not receive your Apple Account password or payment-card details.

If you choose to contact us for support, we receive the information you include in your message.

2. Study information stored on your device

The app stores study information locally so that your progress and preferences can be remembered. This includes:

The app’s content and configuration requests are not designed to upload your study history, answers, saved questions or test scores to our servers. Device backups and restoration are subject to your Apple settings and Apple’s services.

3. Lifetime Access purchases

Lifetime Access is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple handles payment and maintains its purchase records. We do not receive or store payment-card details.

To authorise premium downloads, the app securely sends Apple-signed purchase information to our verification service. We use this information to check that the purchase is valid, belongs to this app and its Lifetime Access product, and is eligible for premium content.

Restoring purchases involves Apple’s purchase and entitlement services. Apple processes and retains purchase information under its own policies and applicable requirements.

4. Question-bank downloads

We use Supabase to provide remote app configuration, purchase verification and question-bank delivery.

After an eligible purchase is verified, the service supplies a temporary download link for premium content. Downloaded question banks are stored on your device.

The app may connect to these services to retrieve configuration, check for content updates, verify eligibility and download question banks. An internet connection is needed for these operations.

5. Technical information

As with other internet services, hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical information associated with requests. This can include IP addresses, timestamps, request metadata and diagnostic information.

Technical information may be used to operate the service, investigate errors and maintain security and reliability. The app may also produce device diagnostic logs. Apple may provide diagnostics or TestFlight feedback according to its services and your applicable settings.

6. Service providers and external websites

Apple provides app distribution, in-app purchases, purchase restoration and related platform services.

Supabase provides backend processing and content storage. It processes requests and related technical information as part of providing these services.

GitHub Pages hosts this policy and our support website. Visiting these websites is subject to GitHub’s hosting and privacy practices.

GitHub Privacy Statement

The app also links to Australian Government citizenship resources. When you open an external website, that website’s own privacy policy applies.

Service providers may process information outside your country under their applicable service arrangements and privacy policies. We do not represent that all information stays exclusively in Australia.

7. Advertising and tracking

The app does not include third-party advertising or behavioural analytics SDKs, access an advertising identifier, or use cross-app or cross-website tracking technology.

We do not sell personal information or use your study activity for advertising. Information is processed by the providers described above to deliver the service and support. Disclosure may also be required by law or to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.

8. Support enquiries

If you contact us, we use the contact details, message and attachments you provide to respond and resolve the issue.

Please include only information relevant to your enquiry. Do not send passwords, payment-card information or other credentials. Remove unnecessary personal information from screenshots and logs.

Support correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry and related follow-up, and to meet applicable legal or security obligations.

9. Retention, deletion and privacy choices

The app’s Settings controls let you reset practice progress, reset mock-test history, clear saved questions and clear questions marked for reviewing mistakes. These controls affect the corresponding study data. They do not cancel a purchase or reset the free-test allowance.

Locally stored data and downloaded content remain until reset, replaced, removed through app or device management, or the app is deleted, subject to Apple’s storage and backup behaviour.

There is no app account to delete. Deleting the app does not erase Apple’s purchase records or a provider’s technical logs. Provider retention depends on the service, its configuration and applicable requirements.

Contact us through the support page below to request access, correction or deletion of personal information you have provided directly to us, or to raise a privacy concern. We will assess and respond to requests in accordance with applicable requirements. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security or dispute-resolution purposes.

10. Children’s privacy

The app is intended for people preparing for the Australian citizenship test and is not specifically directed at children. It does not provide account registration or features designed to collect children’s personal information.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support enquiry, contact us so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.

11. Security and changes

We use measures intended to protect purchase verification and premium content, including encrypted connections, verification of Apple’s signed purchases, private content storage and temporary download links. No internet service or device can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy when the app, data practices or providers change. The latest version will be published at this address with a revised date.

12. Content sources and licensing
