Life in the UK Test preparation app
Last updated: 20 September 2026
UK Citizenship Test is an independent educational app that helps users prepare for the Life in the UK Test. This policy explains what the app stores on your device, what information is processed when you use online features, and your privacy choices.
In this policy, “we” and “us” mean the independent developer identified as the seller on the app’s Apple App Store listing. Our privacy and support contact is mohongandhi5@gmail.com. Please include “UK Citizenship Test” in your message so that we can identify the relevant app.
You do not need to create an app account to use the app. Apple may require you to authenticate with your Apple Account to purchase or restore Lifetime Access. We do not receive your Apple Account password or payment-card details.
The app does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, home address, contacts, photos, precise location, passport, immigration status or government application documents. If you choose to contact us for support, we receive the contact information and other content you include in your message.
The app does not contain third-party advertising, advertising or behavioural analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking technology. It does not use an advertising identifier.
The app stores information locally so that it can remember your progress and preferences. This includes practice statistics and topic progress; saved questions and questions marked for reviewing mistakes; mock-test usage, results, scores and history; learning-progress and readiness information; appearance preferences; cached premium-access status; and downloaded question banks, configuration and version information.
The app’s content-download, configuration and purchase-verification requests are not designed to upload your study answers, saved questions, test scores or study history to our servers. Information that you deliberately include in a support message is an exception.
Device backups and restoration may include local app data, depending on your Apple settings and Apple’s services. The app does not provide a separate online study account or its own cloud progress-sync service.
Lifetime Access is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple using StoreKit. Apple handles payment, maintains purchase records and provides purchase-restoration services. We do not receive or store payment-card details.
To authorise premium question-bank downloads, the app sends Apple-signed transaction information over an encrypted connection to our purchase-verification service hosted on Supabase. This information may contain purchase and original-transaction identifiers, the app and product identifiers, purchase dates, transaction environment and entitlement-related information supplied by Apple.
We use this information to verify that the transaction is valid, belongs to this app and its Lifetime Access product, and qualifies for premium content. Purchase information is not used for advertising or to profile your study activity.
The verification function processes the transaction to authorise a download rather than to create a user account. Its application diagnostics record request references, verification outcomes or error codes, processing stages and server-version information. Hosting providers may separately process technical request information as described below.
Apple processes and retains purchase information under its own privacy policy and applicable requirements: Apple Privacy Policy.
We use Supabase for remote app configuration, purchase verification and question-bank storage and delivery. The app may connect to these services when checking for configuration or content updates, verifying premium eligibility, or downloading content.
After an eligible purchase is verified, our service supplies a temporary signed link to download the private premium question bank. Downloaded content and related version information are stored on your device.
These online operations require an internet connection. Bundled or previously downloaded material may remain available offline, subject to the app’s access rules and the content available on your device.
As with other internet services, network and hosting providers may process IP addresses, request timestamps, requested resource paths, response status, request references, device or client information conveyed by network requests, and diagnostic or security information.
We use operational information to deliver the service, investigate failures, prevent abuse and maintain security and reliability. This does not mean that no information leaves your device: purchase verification and internet requests involve the processing described in this policy.
The app can produce device diagnostic messages about purchases and content updates. Apple may also process or make available app diagnostics and TestFlight feedback according to its services and your applicable settings.
Apple provides App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, purchase restoration and related platform services. Its own privacy terms apply to those services.
Supabase provides backend processing, technical logging and content storage and delivery. Where it processes personal information on our behalf, its applicable data-processing terms govern that processing, including security, confidentiality and subprocessors. See the Supabase Privacy Policy and Supabase Data Processing Addendum.
GitHub Pages hosts this policy and our support website. When you visit these websites, GitHub may process technical information associated with your visit. We do not add advertising pixels or behavioural analytics to this policy page. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Google’s email service is used for correspondence sent to our support email address. Messages and attachments are processed through that service so that we can receive and answer your enquiry. See the Google Privacy Policy.
The app links to GOV.UK, UK Parliament, official learning resources and other reference websites. Opening a link takes you to a separately operated service whose own privacy and cookie practices apply. Listing or linking to a resource does not send your study history to that organisation.
Service providers and their subprocessors may process information outside your country, including outside the UK. We do not promise that all information remains in the UK. Where applicable data-protection law requires safeguards for processing on our behalf, transfers must use an appropriate legal mechanism, such as an adequacy arrangement or applicable contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.
We process information only as needed to provide app features and premium access, operate and secure the service, respond to support and privacy requests, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, use study activity for advertising, or share it with advertising networks.
Where UK or European data-protection law applies, our grounds for processing depend on the purpose: performance of our contract with you for necessary premium-access verification and delivery; legitimate interests in maintaining a secure, reliable service and answering enquiries; and compliance with legal obligations where applicable. Where a particular optional activity requires consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Merely using the app is not treated as blanket consent to unrelated uses of your information.
Information is disclosed to the service providers described above as needed for their roles. Disclosure may also be necessary to comply with a lawful request, investigate fraud or security incidents, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Providers acting on our behalf are expected to process information only for the relevant services and with protections appropriate to the information and applicable requirements.
Readiness indicators and practice scores are educational feedback. They do not determine immigration eligibility or make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments, and any sender information your email service supplies. We use these details to answer your enquiry, investigate the issue and handle related follow-up.
Please send only information relevant to your request. Do not send passwords, full purchase tokens, payment-card details, passports or immigration documents. Remove unnecessary personal information from screenshots or logs. Use private email for privacy requests rather than posting personal information in a public GitHub issue.
Local study data: Use Settings to reset practice progress, reset mock-test history, clear saved questions or clear questions marked for reviewing mistakes. Each control affects the corresponding data; it does not cancel a purchase or reset the free-test allowance. Downloaded content and remaining local information persist until replaced, reset or removed through app or device management. Deleting the app removes its local data subject to Apple’s storage and backup behaviour; offloading an app may preserve its data. Manage backups separately through your Apple settings.
Purchases and service records: There is no app account to delete. Removing the app does not erase Apple’s purchase records or providers’ technical logs. Purchase information is processed for verification and entitlement delivery. Operational logs are retained according to the relevant service configuration and the period needed to investigate failures, maintain security and meet applicable requirements, rather than to maintain a study-activity profile.
Support correspondence: We retain messages and attachments for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the enquiry and related follow-up, meet legal or security obligations, or handle disputes. When that need ends, information should be deleted or de-identified, subject to backup cycles and any required retention. You may request earlier deletion where applicable.
Your rights: Contact mohongandhi5@gmail.com to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may also request restriction of processing or data portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We may need reasonable information to verify your request. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security or dispute-resolution purposes; we will explain relevant limits.
We cannot remotely retrieve or erase study data stored only on your device. Requests about Apple’s independently held purchase records should also be directed to Apple.
You can raise a concern with us and, where applicable, complain to your data-protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
The app is intended for people preparing for the Life in the UK Test and is not specifically directed at children. It does not provide registration or features designed to collect children’s personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support enquiry, contact us so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
We use measures intended to protect purchase verification and premium content, including encrypted connections, verification of Apple-signed transactions, private content storage and temporary download links. No device or internet service can guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy when the app, its data practices, providers or applicable requirements change. The latest policy will be published at this address with an updated revision date. Material changes that require additional notice or consent will be handled as required by applicable law.
